Winery Review: A Chardonnay with an aroma of orchard fruits and blooms with a light to medium body. It has flavors of creamy peach, melon, and sweet citrus with a crispy clean finish and lasting fruit. A clean and easy white wine to drink.

My Review: The Chardonnay has a strong perfume smell. The wine is very acidic, non-oaky with hints of citrus. I don't taste melon or peach, however it does have a light body. It is a dull Chardonnay and overpowered by acidity. There isn't a lasting finish to this Chardonnay.

Winery Review: This Merlot has a black raspberry and cherry aroma with a medium body. It has flavors of pomegranate, mixed berries, and toast with a smooth, balanced, and round finish.

My Review: This Merlot has a strong nose with hints of vanilla and cherries. It is avery sweet and fruity Merlot with medium body and raspberry and cherry flavors. It has a nice, light yet lasting fruity finish.

 

Arquero Cabernet Sauvignon

Winery Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon has a fresh cherry, spice, and cedarwood aroma with a medium body. It has flavors of black currants, cherries,and hints of cocoa and spice. It has a smooth, round, and balanced finish.

My Review: There is certainly a cedarwood aroma to this wine but I can also smell hints of raspberry and cinnamon. It has strong flavors of cherry and plum and is slightly tart for a red wine. It has a medium to almost light body with a creamy, fruity finish.

Second Tasting: Yellowtail

Winery Review: A Chardonnay with a flavor of rich tropical fruits with a creamy finish.

My Review: Fairly sweet yet an acidic Chardonnay. There is a strong hint of pineapple flavor and light citrus. The Chardonnay certainly has a rich and creamy finish.

Winery Review: Inspired by the traditional drink of Spain, Yellowtail Sangria combines a splash of sweet citrus with premium red wine.

My Review: The Sangria has a strong and sweet nose including hints of vanilla and nutmeg. There is a strong flavor of citrus blended with blackberry. Overall, a light and fruity finish.

Winery Review: Ripe plum flavors with a warm touch of spice.This Merlot wine is bold, smooth, and easy on the palate.

My Review: This Merlot has a rich body. There is a hint of cinnamon which is what gives it the extra spice. I taste the plum flavors but also a hint of black raspberry. The Merlot has a smooth finish.

Yellowtail Shiraz

Winery Review: A Shiraz with ripe cherries and strawberries, spice, and vanilla aromas. The bold Shiraz wine is well balanced, with earthy tones and lingering fruit on the tongue.  

My Review: The Yellowtail Shiraz has an earthy nose with a hint of dirt but also a sweet scent of vanilla. This wine has a very fruity and light flavor with hints of strawberries but I taste more chocolate than I do vanilla. The Shiraz is light for a red wine and also sweet and fruity.
